Nursing Schools By State

Welcome to the beginning of a great future as a nurse.

Directly below you wil find NIZ has compiled an extensive list of nursing schools by state then by city to make your search easier.

Go ahead and make your mother happy by stayingclose as possible to home.

On second thought, tell them you'll keep the oil checked and you'll call home when you need some money.

Here are 3 things to consider before loading up the car and getting out of dodge to freedom. Slow down and create a game plan to protect yourself.

On each state nursing schools page, you'll see the link twice for the state nursing board. That is how important looking out for you is to us.

  • Be sure to check out the state nursing board web site to make surea nursing school of interest to you is not on probation or in trouble for some other reason. Nursing boards typically post warnings about bogus unaccreditedschools operating in the state.
  • Check out the school'sgraduation pass rate to make sure the school is notborder line close to getting a smack down by the state nursing board.

An example is a graduation rate of80% would make the school apossible Board of Nursing smack down candidate if the failing rate for that state is 75%.

  • Don't forget to ask questions about a school's accreditation especially if you have plans to continue your nursing education now or in the future. You do not want to find yourself having to take the same type of classes twice because a school will not accept the previously earned credits.
